Creative writing is a string of lies that tell a story to bring out the dark truths in the world. They are works created in the mind that break the laws of the universe. With a multitude of forms, the type of creative writing--a poem, a short story, or maybe a play--decides the beginnings of a story. For some, creative writing is an entertaining activity, which has no restrictions, and can reveal everyday problems. Primarily, creative writers have an abundant amount of reasons behind why they choose to write this type of narration, but the simple and obvious reason is that it is an enjoyable pastime. All one needs is an idea, an idea that sparks a general interest or one that excites the nerves, tingles the mind, and cause the heart to palpitate. If one has the passion, writing becomes an enjoyable session and not work. Additionally, the subject of the work can range from an ancient abandoned building to a full-blown crime investigation with a scheme that seems too surreal to be possible. Furthermore, in the development of creative writing pieces, these story concepts can occasionally take on a life of their own. The conclusion, or end, of the piece, may be a surprise, as writers find themselves dragged along in the adventures of their characters without realization. What may be written when facing the dreaded blank pages becomes a daily sphere of anticipation. In fact, building the labyrinth of words filled with twists and turns that is called, in literary terms, the
Have you ever thought about writing your own story? Or even create your own world and share it with the world? Creative writing is the process of doing just that. For my MYP project, I created multiple stories in order to reach my goal of doing just that. Throughout the entire process of this project, I have researched and gone through many difficulties while working on this project. Creative writing is something that not only is used to create worlds but can be used to express emotions as well.
"Wake up, partners," the trail boss, James called. I sleepily looked up , shivered, and saw I was the only one not up. "Here," James said, giving me the horses' bridles and saddles. "Take these and get the horses ready. We have a long day today." I groaned in reply and set up the horses for the day's long drag. I was the horse wrangler and this was my everyday job but I still couldn't get use to the idea of waking up before the sun and working. We drove the cattle into open plains against the winter's cold wrath.
In the beginning a story only exists in my shifting imagination, until I know what I want to say, and can put it on paper, with a pencil. As the words materialize, they become real and take on a life of their own, they exist on their own; only the choice
OH, you know what. Please forgive me, but I believe I never actually addressed your question, “What is creative writing?” Interesting that you ask, well for starters such a question is insurmountably subjective because the question itself is asking for a definitive upon an infinity, like get out of here. Not to bore you with technicalities or anything, I just don’t think that answer is possible, unless....But of course! It is not an answer you seek, but an opinion. In that case, creative writing is the outlet to my daily tribulations, it is the sum of all what is possible on an intangible field that I call,
Another of the book's highlights is its thorough examination of the many different ways and points of view from which a piece of fiction can be told. This aspect is especially strong when Gardner discusses such things as metafiction and deconstruction, two fascinating methods of writing fiction that are probably not well known among most young writers. In explaining these different kinds of fiction, Gardner also uses many vivid examples, such as passages from many classical works of fiction, that help the reader truly understand what is being discussed.
“Anything that can help us find out who did this.” I said, examining the crime scene. I walked towards what used to be the glass case that held the crown, but was now a useless, shattered cube.

Creative writing is a difficult process, often prone to failure. Upon hearing my frequent complaints regarding the activity, my friends often ask me why I bother with the business at all. There are several reasons why I write. However, to say that there is any one specific explanation would be incorrect and would oversimplify the subject.
Storytelling is the oldest of the arts. This artform is engraved within the essence of humanity, as they are used to make sense of the world and to share that understanding with others. Stories are recognizable patterns, and in those patterns we find elements that generate meaning. Some of these elements include, the plot, the characters, and the subtext of the story. In a well-written narrative, each of these elements work closely with the others to generate a captivating narrative that connects with its audience, and in turn, creates a deep meaning.
The blaring of my headlights, shadows littered the ground. The light cut through them, disturbing the darkness. The sun had set a while ago, but still I was wandering. My eyes had grown tired, but still I was searching. Clouds, sinister and heavy, were layered above the earth, hiding away the moon and, with it, the stars' light. For a few hours now, I had been driving around. Somewhere along the way, I strayed from my path. Many circles I seem to have made, and I am still stuck on this abandoned dirt road. By now, I should have arrived at my uncle's home. I should have finished greeting all of my family. I should be sitting down with them, drinking and laughing, having a pleasant night. Right now, I realize that I have just passed the same
CONTENT AND FORM The mystery of what urges writers to write, and then to write the kind of stories they do is an old enigma. I feel writing is a journey to self, Joan Didion aptly says: “I write entirely to find out what I’m thinking, what I’m looking at, what I see and what it means. What I want and what I fear” (Didion 1976: 18). This isn’t the only reason most writers write, and this essay explores the other reasons, mostly it demonstrates the challenges of writing fiction that required imagining emotional pain and creating traumatic events.
Writing is always considered as voice of soul since it helps writers to depict their point of view. Writing is basically an art which helps the writers to express themselves just like painters. It is often depicted that writing is a gift which helps writers in presenting their ideas to the world. In the article “Write till you drop”, author has urged the writers to be creative and think out of the box. She thinks that this is necessary for evolution of writing itself since it would not only help writers but would also attract audience. Our marching leader looked as if he wanted to cry with his red puffy eyes, but that wasn’t an option here, and he would only be giving Ross the satisfaction he wanted. The lieutenants pulled Ross aside and I thought they were going to call him out on what he said but instead, they must have told him to run us for his mistake.
