The Canadarm (all five variants) had been on ninety flights to space, two of which resulted in the destruction of the Canadarms involved which were on the space shuttles Columbia and Challenger during their explosions. The Canadarm has completed many tasks such as setting and repairing satellites, supporting astronauts during spacewalks, loosening solar panels and knocking ice off of wastewater dumping vents. The first mission the Canadarm had been assigned was on the 13th of November 1981 for mission STS-2 where the space shuttle Columbia had first sent it into space, the Canadarm was only used to test all modes and to see the mobility in space and Astronaut Richard Truly had said “Okay, the arm is out for the first time...working great...
Juneteenth also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day is a holiday celebrated on June,19th, the holiday is historical in nation as it celebrates an event that occurred on June,19th, 1865 in which slaves in Texas were free and more importantly it symbolizes the abolishment of slavery in the Confederate South. “How JROTC has prepared me to be a better citizen of the United states of America”. JROTC has prepared me to become a better citizen by teaching me how to use leadership skills and be able to cope with subordinates. It also has prepared me to be a better citizen by showing me what the 7 army values are and what they mean. Some of the army values are respect, honor, integrity, and personal courage. JROTC has showed me how to do things different from the way I thought things should be done and how to march and be able to keep a company and platoon together when marching. Since I know a lot about the JROTC I am able to help other people become better citizens like I was taught. I am also a better citizen because i have the discipline not to do certain things that I did before I took the JROTC class.
JROTC, also known as Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, is a program that is offered in high school, which gives students an introduction to the U.S. Army. The main mission of this program is to motivate young people to become better citizens. This program teaches self-discipline, confidence, and pride in a job well done. It offers many challenges and opportunities which is surely able to increase one’s life skills and leadership skills, such as sharpening your communication skills, strengthen your self-esteem, and improving your physical fitness. Throughout its century-long history, multiple things had changed, while other things stayed the same, but the ROTC program will continue to remain as a promising existence for years to come.
African-Americans in the South after the Civil War were new to the concept of freedom, yet that very small two syllable word meant a lot to them. Slaves were not considered as a piece of property that could be used and abused by their slaveholders anymore. Slaves families were separated by the effects of slavery, so the freed slaves immediately tried to reunite with their families. News finally reached Texas about slaves being freed on June 19th, 1865, also called Juneteenth. Juneteenth is considered one of the oldest known celebrations that commemorated the end of slavery in the United States. The news of the Emancipation Proclamation did not reach Texas until about two years after its public awareness because there was little Union
The first paper is due by Monday, April 9, 11:59 p.m. You MAY use sources outside of the Liberty Search Engine (and are encouraged to do so). Also you may use scholarly books and not just journal articles. You should avoid using generic websites that do not appear scholarly in nature. A good rule of thumb is that if a website does not have an author, it is not a good source. Good online material has also usually been published in print at some point. Google Scholar and JSTOR are great places to search, as well as the online encyclopedias I've shown you. Always feel free to send me an email if you have questions about sources or formatting.

While attending Liberty Univeristy, I started out as a Business Major, but after a few accounting classes I decided to be an Accountant. Not only did I find a career path at Liberty, but I also found my life's mate. We have been married for 34 year and our proudest accomplishment in life are our three children. Nathan, recently married and lives in Wisconsin. Both are clinical pharmacists in the hospital setting. Nathan published his first article for the Pharmacy Journal which started sibling riviary. Lauren, is the Production Manager for the White House Historical Association and could't wait to tell her brother that she published two articles. We also visited the White House on several occasions. Our youngest,
Madera High is an ordinary high school in a fairly small town of about 60,000 people. Although the usual picture of bullying portrayed in the media does not occur here, there are still other forms of bullying and harassment that happen often. Cyberbullying has become the new form of harassment that teens use to bully other students. Social media is now the platform bullies prefer to use rather than the physical confrontation that bullying used to be. Through recent years, it has become an epidemic that has taken over the internet and social networks. It has made it even harder for students to get away from the bully or the person harassing them. At Madera High the amount of bullying seen at school by other students and staff is fairly low,
The United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, UBCJA, is a labor union that advocates for worker rights. Founded in 1881, Peter J. McGuire and Gustav created the union in response to the lack of worker right laws in place. Since then, the union has grown substantially in size but still, lobbies for workers’ rights. The union lobbies for issues on a regional and national level. They have endorsed and contributed finically to presidential candidates. They have also endorsed and contributed finically to congressional candidates across party lines who they believe will help fight for worker rights. The union also provides several services to its members such as training, a pension fund, and welfare. The UBCJA has long fought for workers

One new addition to Science National Honor Society at school that I spearheaded is "This Month in Science". The central purpose of this activity is to share out different discoveries or improvements in science that interest us and spark meaningful conversation and interest in science in general. Different board members have shared innovations in biotechnology, space exploration, or even new apps that give advanced warnings for earthquakes. This has been an excellent addition to our monthly meetings since it provides an opportunity for me to speak out about things that really interest me, such as improvements in Wendelstein 7-X or the sensationalized "new bond type", a Rydberg molecule. As my favorite facet of Science National Honor Society,
An 11-1 spurt midway through the first half sparked the Pacific University men’s basketball team to a 69-60 win over host UC-Santa Cruz on Friday afternoon in Santa Cruz, California.
Both Canadarm’s are robots which were designed to help. Maybe people who are into robotics look at the Canadarm as their inspiration and motivation. The Canadarm would inspire the robotic engineers to go better beyond just like they did with the Canadarm2. They added features and items the first Canadarm didn’t have to make it
The Canadarm’s first flight was on November 13, 1981 on the shuttle Columbia on the second shuttle flight in the shuttle program. The mission was a three day mission, supposed to be a five day mission but was shortened by two days due to a malfunctioning fuel cell, to among other things to test the SRMS, the Canadarm, to see if it worked before it was actively used. The Canadian-built arm was tested, even though the tests were cancelled, and the Columbia’s pilot Richard Truly remarked to mission, “The arm is out and it works beautifully, its movements are much more flexible than they appeared during training simulations" (citation from <http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/shuttle/behindscenes/rms_anniversary.html>). The Canadarm was used on numerous missions after the STS-2 mission. On the STS-41D mission in august 1984, the full potential of the Canadarm was realized when a waste water froze on a vent on the bottom of the space shuttle. The ice was potential danger; if it fell off during re-entry it could damage the shuttle. The Canadarm was used to remove the ice by tapping it off. The Canadarm was used on a classified mission from the United States Department of Defence. Another notable mission was STS-51D where the shuttle Discovery released a satellite. The satellite suffered a problem, the rockets didn’t fire and the satellite was stuck on the incorrect
