Referencing is when you acknowledge materials used while researching, including books; papers; websites and other published or unpublished materials. In the instructions, the professor would have usually stated which type of reference style to use. If not, then the most common one would be the APA or MLA style and there are a variety of tools available out there to help me properly reference my sources.
