1. Explain what is meant by Diversity, Equality and Inclusion
Equality Equality is the term for treating people fairly and offering the same chances, it’s not all about treating everyone in the same way, but recognising everyone is different, and they all have very different needs, but making sure they are met.
These different needs could be race, age, physical health, mental health, gender, sexual orientation, beliefs and creeds.

On a larger scale however, the organisation has just taken a massive step forward. This is to do with the funding for one on one hours. The manager has managed to gain equal one on one hours for every service user. This means that for once in the organisations existence they can provide an equal service, to each individual and the will all have an equal amount of support. This is demonstrates inclusive practice leading to equality, however each set of hours can be different for each service user which embraces diversity.
Outcome 2 Be able to work in an inclusive way
1. Explain how legislation and codes of practice relating to equality, diversity and discrimination apply to own work role.
Legislation that underpins the way I work and I have to always take in to consideration, is in abundance. For example there are:
• Race Relations Act 2003
• Sex Discrimination Act 2005
• The Employment Equality (Age) regulation 2006
• Disability Discrimination Act 1995
• Disability Discrimination Act 2005
• The Employment Equality (Sexual Orientation) Regulations 2003
• Human Rights Act
• Equality Act
Only to name a few. Though the acts or regulations regarding employment don’t affect me at this immediate moment, they have done during my application process and is worth bearing in mind, if I ever want to progress to a manager level.

Legislation relating to employment exist because employers and employees need to know where they stand in a workplace, if certain legislations was not put in
Equality- being equal, especially in rights, status or opportunities. All individuals should be treated equally and there are laws in place to ensure that this happens. In accordance with the law, organisations have quality policies to ensure that everyone is treated equally.
Equality means having equal access to the too services a person needs. The centre promoted equality when Patrick Green was tested positive for HIV. Although Patrick was concerned about no longer being accepted as a member he was reassured that he will retain all access to all facilitates and wold be treated with the same courtesy. This is showing equality as Patrick will have equal access to the facilities just like everyone else who goes to the centre, and just like he would even if he didn’t test positive for HIV.

This means that within my workplace each member of staff has to adhere to this legislation and ensure that everyone that comes into our building is treated with dignity and respect, they are not discriminated against in any way and everyone receives the correct level of treatment as and when needed.
As a Senior Staff of London College of Science and Technology, this report will address the importance of effectively managing equality and diversity as well as the dynamics of leading and managing in my Organisation. The task is divided into two: The first task will explain the meaning of equality and diversity, analysis of its legal requirement, implications, policies and procedure, needs and expectations of stakeholder in relation to the organisation policy on equality and diversity. The second task will appraise how to address equality and diversity, evaluate methods of communicating commitment and analyse technique used to review and monitor equality and diversity.
