Scrooge was a man who did not like to give anything to anyone and was disgusted with
Christmas. Throughout the story, Scrooge went on an adventure. Three Spirits showed him what happens when he does not give back and does not support his community. Scrooge is having a hard time accepting people and being gentle with their feelings. He will not even let his accountant take Christmas Day off. He does not pay people fairly and he does not give back to his community like he should. Throughout the story, Scrooge changed in many ways such as, feeling bad for not doing something for someone, not giving enough money to his employee who needed it really badly, and finally not seeing anyone grieve his death. In Stave Two when the First of the Three Spirits appeared, Scrooge was very confused about what was going on. He did not understand what was happening to him at this point. He felt like he slept through a whole day and far into another night without even waking up. The Spirit decided to go and show him a little boy who was having problems. This little boy did not make sense of the things that was happening but he was grateful. Scrooge then felt bad because the boy who came to is door that morning wanted to sing Christmas carols to him but

It needed to be shown to him. Two women mentioned that Scrooge had died but that is all they said. They were basically happy he was dead. They did not talk anymore about him. They did not really care what was happening with him. He went to another person’s house and they found out that Scrooge was dead and they were happy because they did not need to pay their debt off anymore. They were just so excited that they did not have to worry about it and they did not have to keep seeing Scrooge about the money problem. Scrooge realized that he needed to start respecting people. He needs to get in the Christmas spirit and be kind to
For Scrooge is revolved around money, money, and oh yeah I forgot one more thing money. Scrooge hated Christmas. He did not even like to hear the word
In Scrooge’s past and present, his actions had not been admirable. In reaction to this, Scrooge had closed himself off and become cold and impenetrable by any kindness. He had no empathy for others. The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come changed this mindset by showing Scrooge the most severe consequences of his cold hearted actions. In
Ebenezer Scrooge had changed a lot throughout the screenplay and movies. In the story, Scrooge had started out as a rich miser who didn’t care about anything but himself and his business. He ended up being a kind man who helped everyone he could and gave back to the community. He had changed in many ways and had been shown what he had become. Marley helped Scrooge realize that he had made everyone turn away from him and think poorly of him, and that some people like Bob Cratchit and his nephew, had hoped that he could change. Scrooge’s encounters with the spirits had shown him the most.
Scrooge is a rude, dismal man who hates mankind, and Christmas. During Christmastime there is a lot of charity and for being such a wealthy man that Scrooge is, he hates to give money to charity. He also thinks that Christmas is waste of time, and it could be used for
Scrooge is ignorant to the fact that Christmas is about being with family. As he goes around with the spirit he sees Bob Cratchit’s family and their small goose, but they are happy nun the less. He then goes it see his nephew Fred at his house with his guests and wife playing a game. He is ignorant to the fact that they all have found joy in each other’s company. As he is usually alone on Christmas.
But Scrooge is not very content to see him, he wants to know where he’s gonna take him. As the ghost takes him to where they need to go they move to the big city and it looks like that somebody died, it states in the text that a man recited I don’t know all that I know is that he’s dead.It also
Any sympathy for Scrooge will have been lost at this point because he enjoyed the things that he put himself through. Dickens has done this to emphasise that Scrooge is not part of the world, he simply exists in
Scrooge now no longer thinks only of himself, but others and their needs as well. When he first arrived back in his room after the spirits visited him, he changed immediately through his thoughts. “It’s Christmas day!” said Scrooge to himself “I haven't missed it. The Spirits have done it all in one night.”. This shows the reader that Scrooge now cares about Christmas and is thankful for the Spirits.
I can tell this because in the beginning of the movie, Scrooge is narrated as a cold, selfish man who only cares about himself. While everyone else in the movie is jolly and full of happiness, he walks with a demeanor of a self composed person who wants nothing to do with anybody. Even though he is selfish, his worker still manages to deal with him and show him a bit of compassion. Scrooge does not care it for it one bit, its almost like talking to a wall. Try as he might though, he
Scrooge’s character has changed throughout the story because he shows emotion and regret, he begins to feel empathy for the less fortunate, and he feels great sorrow when he views the death of himself and others. In the beginning, Scrooge was a cold, stingy man who felt nothing for others. Scrooge drastically changed when the first ghost, The Ghost of Christmas Past visited him, who returned his ability to show emotion and regret. For instance, Scrooge feels great remorse when he mentions “There was a boy singing a Christmas carol at my door last night.
We see at the start of the novel, two men ask Scrooge for donations to help the poor this Christmas, Scrooge turns them done saying if they needed money they should make money. Going to the past, present, and future gave Scrooge a new understanding of how his attitude could affect everything. By the end of the novel, Scrooge is a kind heated man who buys turkey for a struggling family with an ill child. He gives them presents and sits around a fire singing songs with the whole
On page 10 it stated “he walked through his room to see that all was right” because that night, Scrooge had heard an odd noise in his room. That night Marley came to visit Scrooge to warn him that three ghost would be visiting him to show him his past present and his future. Scrooge was felt really afraid because he didn't know what to expect to see through that journey. Through his journey with the first ghost it took him back to when he was a young boy and saw that he was a really happy child. The second ghost showed Scrooge, how his life was now and how people didn't like to talk to him or be near him because he was known to be the grumpiest man in town, he never liked to celebrate Christmas and just didn't like to be near anyone who had a high spirit in
This causes Scrooge to change for the greater good; as soon as he finishes the encounters and time-traveling with the 3 ghosts of Christmas, he then goes to dinner with the family (I forgot their last names).
By the time that this ghost left, there was clearly a change in his attitude towards the Christmas season, it went from hating everything about it to being the most cheerful and thankful for everything. This ghost made Scrooge see one thing from the future that had a huge impact
His nephew was the only one that wanted to see a little glimmer of hope in him. Everyone else was mourning over the loss of Tiny Tim. If they were not mourn- ing over Tiny Tim they were arguing over who would get Scrooge's things or joking about his death. Finally Scrooge was scared out of his whits. He just wanted to leave and be back in his C cold, dark room.
