Diversity Behavior is best defined as the unique behaviors, emotions and thought processes of an individual including the way that he or she interacts with others. While much of behavior may be thought to be innate, there are also external factors that can impact an individual's behavior. These factors have diversity and demographic characteristics; four of these factors will be discussed in this paper and the impact each has on individuals will be shown. Religion, personality traits, age and gender are thought to have the greatest impacts and therefore providing the best opportunity for discussion.
Religion
Since the beginning of documented history individuals have held strong to their religious beliefs and the right to

While these particular customs may not cause any major conflicts, those that practice them may become the source of ridicule or even forced to live in separate communities where they can practice freely.
Personality Traits Personality can be defined as patterns of a person's thoughts, feelings and behaviors in various situations. In its most basic form personality is attitude, values and interests. Personality traits can also be known as behavioral differences. Understanding and appreciating the diverse personalities of others can help people to interact and know why one person might act or respond in a certain way. This appreciation of personality diversity gives respect to the quirks and differences of individuals therefore respecting these differences as strengths. A person's personality traits develop for various reasons. These reasons can stem from the interactions of an individual with the environment along with biological influences. These environmental influences can be living during segregated times, being reared in a single-parent family along with living in a household with an income below the poverty level. Each of these environmental influences could lead an individual to harbor negative feelings for those of other races or feel a sense of longing to fit in. Having a group consisting of individuals from diverse backgrounds working
Some say love is blind. I would like to disagree. When a person falls in love with another surely, they are aware of that individuals many characteristics such as gender, race, and age. And I believe it’s those very differences which attracted people to one another. This belief of mine made the concept of Diversity Awareness very interesting to me. Within this paper, I will describe and explain why I found the Diversity Awareness concept most important to me, the implications of not applying the concept, the actions I will take to apply the concept, and the impact this new insight will have on my supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
How do people behave? What makes us act the way we do? There are as many different answers as there are people. Each person is a unique makeup of individual characteristics which blend together to form the personality, the behavior of the person. We can identify certain broad characteristics of groups of people and apply them to individuals to get an idea of how they will behave in a given situation. This is called stereotyping and, when taken too far, will give a distorted picture of what to expect of a persons behavior. While you can never get a fully accurate picture of how someone will behave based on their demographics and characteristics, you can make certain general guesses that will point

Throughout most of history, women have endured so much. They almost always had fewer legal rights and career opportunities. The main professions tied to women were wifehood and motherhood. According to "Women's History in America" (1995), “Women were long considered naturally weaker than men, squeamish, and unable to perform work requiring muscular or intellectual development.” The common stereotype was “a woman’s place is in the home.” Women went through the struggles of not being able to get an education, voice their opinions, not having the right to vote, and being viewed as property.
Organizations who make a commitment to diversity can see a significant impact on business in many ways. Diversity “requires a significant commitment for change to occur” (Delong, 2007, p.9). It is extremely important that leaders understand the commitment and embrace it in order for a positive impact to occur. Employers with diverse cultures and leaders can build positive and successful relationships with customers, suppliers and vendors. They can better attract and retain top talent. All of these equal more financial gain for the company.
Here at XYZ Industries Inc. we believe in diversity and we want to celebrate the nature of our diversity. Because we are a company filled with great employees from different beliefs, race, color, and sexual orientation; starting this year the office will no longer host an annual Christmas Party. We will instead host a Winter Celebration. In an effort to be more accepting of individuals from all cultures and beliefs, we will no longer partake in activities affiliated solely with Christmas such as Secret Santa,
Diversity- is the condition of having or being composed of differing elements and/or varieties especially the inclusion of different types of people (such as people of different races or cultures) in a group or organization
This paper will discuss and focus on the four dimensions of diversity: ethnicity, gender, differences in skills, abilities and personality traits and how they have an impact in my workplace. To be able to go further in this paper one should understand the definition of diversity. Diversity is a variety between people associated to factors such as culture, employment status, education, family orientation, gender, origin, physical appearance, religion, sexual orientation and thinking style (Harvey, C. P., 2009). Although the differences themselves are unquestionable, organizations and society often reject them by acknowledging
Personality simply can be defined as the character of someone. It is the set of emotional qualities, thinking, ways of behaving, feeling and so on. Personality differs from one person to another. Similarly, my personality is also quite different from others. I get a chance to know about my personality by trying a test which I have never tried before.

At first glance I look about as non “diverse” as can be. A white middle class male brought up by two parents, with two siblings, and a dog. Much like many other kids my age I enjoy playing video games, watching movies/tv shows, participating in sports, and listening to music.
Personality refers to our distinctinve thoughts and behaviors that we have. Everyone has a different type of personality and it changes throughout during our emotions.
Through the whole of history’s existence, religions, philosophies and personal belief systems have been around to shape and mold life into what it is today. Religions all around the world have their own belief systems, sometimes even more than one. And though one religion or philosophy may develop in a specific corner of the world, there is always at least two paths they could travel. A system can either remain personally sacred to the founders, themselves, or it may become a popular belief to other areas in the world, be they the next town over, or the next country. Likewise is the fact that though some areas may hold true to one specific religion, other areas may produce several belief systems that may fancy several different groups of
Diversity is defined as “the condition of having or being composed of differencing elements” (Webster Dictionary). Through my clinical experiences I have seen a lot of diversity whether it be different ethnicity, the family culture/make-up or students living with disabilities in the classrooms. Specifically, in my urban clinicals I saw more ethnicity and culture diversity differences between student to student and student to teacher relationships. However, in my suburban school clinical experiences I also saw diversity, but in a different way. Here I saw much more diversity in family make-up.
Personality is a pattern of relatively permanent traits and unique characteristics that gives both consistency and individuality to a person’s behavior (Feist & Feist, 2008).
