In my lesson plan, I intend to use both primary and secondary sources. For my primary sources, I plan on using Spanish and Aztec diary letters and codices. I plan on using Hernan Cortes’ “Second Letter to Emperor Charles V,” which describes his exploits and capture of Montezuma II and the Aztec capital.
