Black. Nothing but, darkness. As if I’m floating in an infinite jet-black void but, why? Numb down to my toes and I can’t remember a thing, maybe-Harry don’t forget we love you and you’ll always be in our hearts. Will meet again soon, okay, Harry? Harry? Wait did I die…..I’m I in a coffin? Regaining touch, my fingers travel around meeting cushion and what seems to be cold metal above me. Wiggling my toes, I attempt to stand up but end up hitting my head on what can only be the roof of this coffin-like room. My body aches like I haven’t moved in years and just woke up from an extremely long nap. Logically, pushing my arms up in an attempt to get out the roof surprisingly opens hitting me in the face with the glaring sun. Swinging it over, …show more content…
It’s eyes trailed behind me, making me aware of the shadow on the ground. A tall, lanky one-armed figure swaying in the wind. My nose scrunches up at the smell of mildew mixed with an aged sickly body. I don’t know whether or not I should be afraid, I suggest there is a chance this person could harm me that maybe he could give me some answers. My eyes dart back and forth between the bird and shadow, I realize that they both have something in common. For some reason, they both appeared out of nowhere. The blackbird flies off, leaving me alone with the figure. Why hasn’t it spoken to me yet, or moved in front of me? The worst possible thing that could happen, I guess, would be that it kills me making me actually die so, I turn my head around slowly- “WATCH OUT!” a voice yells just as the figure takes a hold of my shoulders.
Sharp nails dig in my shoulder blades as I whip my head around coming face to face with the most unusual looking creature ever. It’s eyes are glossy orbs almost transparent while the rest of it looks just like the blackbird only worst. Half of its body resembles a healthy human the other more of a monster. With it’s one arm still gripping my shoulder hanging on for dear life, it begins to lower its mouth to my ear. Letting out a shaky breath, my whole body breaks out in chills while it whispers “Don’t let--”Zipp! An arrow flies by hitting the creature square in the head, leaving it to drop and join me in my casket. “That was a close one”, someone
I walked to it and tried prying it from the ground with my fingers. A twig broke behind me and I jumped and spun around. It was dark now and the only light was from the full moon. I had a bad feeling start to pump through me. I turned and ran trying to evacuate the danger I felt nearby. I ran through brush that looked like claws trying to grab my ankles. And as tree limbs came down snatching at my skin I tripped and fell. I saw a tree nearby that looked welcoming and I tried to use it as cover. Black wings busted through the trees and run started echoing around me in a croaked out a raspy breath.
When I finally got my vision back I couldn’t believe myself, a shudder of fear travelled through my body, as I realised that the creature in front of was real, more real than the reality of my hunger. My sight was disturbed by an ethereal creature that looked like the devil in the form of a ghost, a glowing red ghost. All the adrenaline my body could generate surged through my casket dense body, giving the energy that I had been missing for years to run. But even that surge of energy couldn’t take me far enough, my body stopped moving and I collapsed my own body taking a toll on what was left of me. The creature appeared again, coming closer and closer, until it faced me, every part of me wanted to run as fast as I could but I couldn’t move.
Twas a dark and stormy night. Little twitches of fear ran up my spine as I realized that there was no one to help me. I peered out the window of my broken down car and looked at the brewing storm ahead. Alone in the middle of nowhere. Alone. What was I going to do? My phone was dead, the roads were empty, and it wouldn't stop raining. Worried about being stranded here all night, I got out of my car to find help, but all I saw was a shadowy figure. I yelled, “Please help me! I am stranded without a way to get home.” I blinked to see it right in front of me, but rather than being a human, it was a creature with a machete. It kinda looked like the Grim Reaper. I ran back into to the car filled with fright. Just as I thought I was safe, I looked to my right
The man got up and stood his ground as the massive beast barreled towards him. The man knew that he had one chance to make it out of this fight alive. Everything seemed to slow down as the man became focused on the approaching threat. He had noticed a break in the beast’s armor. Just below the stomach lay a deformity, the Achilles heel of the monster. It would be difficult to hit but he knew that it must be done to be able to bring the monster down. He began to run towards the beast now, his senses heightened and he felt as if he was watching himself from above. The beast was now 100 yards away and it traveled at the same pace as it did before. Just before they connected, the man slid below the beast. Time was moving at snail's pace in the mans eyes and he was just below the deformity. He thrust his sword up into the beast and the sword cut through like slicing butter. The man made it to the other side of the beast. The monster was motionless, then after a good minute had passed the nightmare had toppled over in a heap of flesh. The sword no longer glowed as he returned it to it’s scabbard. The deed had been done, so he thought. He heard movement from where the beast was and he turned just in time to see a dark mist darting towards the trees, then it was gone. The man knew that this was far from
One day, Mike was walking on Maple Ave. All of a sudden he felt twinge of pain. He had no idea what hit him. It was a fierce pain in the right leg. He looked all around but couldn’t see anyone or anything that could’ve done anything to him. All of a sudden, out of the corner of his eye, he saw a very apparent figure. It was a giant bird standing on the ledge of the street. “That is what hit me”, he thought. He decided to go home to tell his parents, but he couldn’t walk. He was frantic, and screaming, “Help, somebody help me, I can’t see anything but a jumble of black and yellow spots!”. A man heard him, and called the ambulance. He told the nurses “It looks as if someone has pulverized this boy”. The ambulance came rushing to him. They popped
“In honor of the king it is mandatory for us to retrieve his body and give him a proper burial.” I said to my men. So as stealthy as possible I started to crawl towards the body. I used the footsteps of the guards to mask the sound I was making. I could use the cover of the bodies so they couldn’t see me. When I reached the king something was different about the cut. It was black like the night and jagged. A grabbed one of his arms and held onto it as I crawled. I would crawl then stop and crawl and stop. Me being me I got impatient I stopped stopping. No doubt they could hear me now. I was close to the ground and couldn’t see much. I stopped crawling to catch my breath only to look up and see a guard staring straight down at me his eyes glowing.
Not the paint from the paint potion the middle stick, but an egg. I notice she wasn't touching nothing is touching me. Then eighth seem to be like a heartbeat. And I was like I left the world. It was a great bluebird This was a different kind of pain. Not the paint from the paint potion the middle stick, but an ache. I notice she wasn't touching nothing is touching me. Then ache seemed to be like a heartbeat. It was like I left the world. It was a great bluebird and with a bright orange belly. When it saw me, it flew, then it circled and, I'm not sure how but the look of worry crossed it's face. Then he darted. A high-pitched sound pierce my ear drums. but a look of worry crossed its face. Then he darted. A high-pitched sound pierce my ear drums. Then a shadow started to emerge into the open grassy spot in front of me. An orange and yellow ombre creature emerged appeared. Wait a minute, I know why this creature has appeared. It is the monster from all of my moms bedtime stories. I always ended up defeating it, and keeping one of its scaled and feathers. As I was thinking, I went to put my hands in my pockets, and inside of my pockets were two feathers, and two scales. I wanted to keep these so I went to put them in my backpack, but all of my stuff was gone, and replaced by scales and feathers. The high pitch sound returned, the creature spread it's wings. Now I was looking at it the same way the lady looked at me. This time my stare was for good reason, it was a new species. It stared at me too, but not the same way. He was looking at me with more of a wandering look. Then like a dog, he sat down. I walked over slowly, from out of the bushes. Then when I reached him, he lifted a paw, he had a thorn stuck in it. As I reached for it, I felt freezing cold water run down my face, I started to cough, I open my eyes, realizing that I was back in the hut, staring at the little old lady. She's holding an empty bucket in one hand, and in
My vision inverts and darkens. I hear myself breathing hard. As I opened my eyes I saw the crow from hell sitting on a lifeless rowan
My hands shake with nerves as I pass by the spot where I had seen the man earlier this morning. His hooded face invades my mind, causing so much fear that I scream when someone places their hand on my shoulder.
A tall, black, slender figure lurks around in the woods. Hazy mist rolled in around the trunks of trees. A young child wanders toward the being, grabbing it’s hand. In a blink of an eye both figures disappear into the cold, damp night.
It was late November, all full on Thanksgiving turkey, when I decided to take a stroll in the woods. I came upon this grove of Cypress trees. They were beautiful. I, at that moment, tripped over a root. Falling hard on the ground and scraping my knee, noticed a good number of roly polies(woodlice), and remembering my cute little hedgehog grabbed a bag from my pack and grabbed a handful of them. At that moment something jumped from the tree and landed on my head. Caught completely off guard I fell over with it on my face. It gave a loud shriek and swung at my face with it’s seemingly razor sharp fingers. I didn’t know what to do, for I was disorientated and had no idea what I was dealing with. Only when
Darkness; that was all I could see. Where I was, or how I got here was beyond my knowledge. All I knew was that something was coming, something I couldn’t even fathom. Sweat rolled down my face, chills down my spine; I was scared of what was yet to come. Then it emerged: a grim reaper. It may seem like something that would only happen in a sci-fi film, but that’s the only description that would fit that thing. Black cloak, death scythe, I couldn't quite see it’s face since it was covered by its hood, but I assume that it was a skull. But the thing that frightened me the most wasn’t the fact that whatever that was, was slowly inching it’s way closer to me; but instead something else about it: it reeked of death. Every muscle, every impulse,
Standing in front of this delicate body I dig in eager to taste his delicious, fresh frivolous, warm blood. Tearing him apart in enormous morsels starting with his arm, I feel his broken bones in my heartless hands of joy. My face and neck drenched in his mortal blood leaving a puddle of what's left beneath my feet. But wait! A hand followed by a strong grip has clenched me. This is a hoax! His fierce fiery eyes are gleaming straight into mine; burning holes in my insides that has made me question my abilities. This feeder of the eagles has now stood up standing near me, I have never felt such a grip as vigorous as his. I let out a scream while his fang like fingernails send a piercing almost paralyzing pain up my arm. A flash before my eyes and suddenly he is a light merrymaking monster whose appearance is an immortal and dangerous one. A thought lingers in my head of my mother telling me to be careful before I left, what would she think of me being in this
In the black of the night in the bushes behind us we heard a hair raising murmur right after that a face appeared or at least I thought it was the body was transparent it blended in with the fog I welled “ghost” It also looked like a pirate so I said Pirate” the loud noise of my yelling caught the attention of something even more dangerous splash a 30 foot gator jumped out of the water in-shock I stood still I was petrified then lucy slapped me it hurt the sting was horrible I looked over it wasn’t lucy it was a bat the wigs were horned I held my face in pain and fell to the ground completely forgetting about the 30 foot gator that lurked below but it didn’t forget about me it lunged out of the water I covered my head closed my eyes waiting for the pain then a loud bang the pain never came I opened my eyes there was a very large man at least seven feet tall with a large black beard he extended his arm down to help me up it took his arm and
I desperately attempt to calm my quailing heart, but it is to no avail as it pounds against my trembling breast. The terrifying, headless beast continues to chase me; he looms closer and closer. I can feel his breath, burn down my neck, like hellfire. I violently jab my horse’s ribs increasing my speed up, his breath lessens. I see safety, my heart soars. I lift my head up high rejoicing in the sanctuary I soon shall be blessed with. He lifts his head as well and hurls it towards me. The head flies through the air flaming, smashes through my skull ripping my head from my neck.
