Living in Florida we reside so close to the ocean and other big bodies of water. The water is a way of enjoyment and can improve lives greatly. That is, unless it's polluted. Therefore, by taking care of our beloved water we would be improving not only our lives but wildlife and plant's lives extraordinarily. So Public Policy 403.021 hopes “that control, regulation and abatement of the activities which are causing or may cause pollution of the air or water resources.... be increased to ensure conservation of natural resources” so our environment can benefit (Statues 1). The code requires industries to “encourage” the installment of new machinery that could help the quality of the air and water. Thus, decreasing the outraging amount of pollution
Volunteering means using my time to help people who can’t help themselves or is in need of help. Everytime I finish volunteering, I feel good about myself because I know I’ve just helped the community in some sort of way. A little bit of my time can mean the world to someone. I know if I continue to volunteer, I can make a greater difference in the community. I can contribute to Methodist Hospital’s mission by helping patients with whatever they need, being extremely honest and trustworthy, coming up with innovative ways to deliver service to everyone, and being open about communicating.
Since my arrival in the United States I have never been to volunteer organization before, but all it changes when I come to the Tri City Volunteers. Tri-City Volunteer “is a non-profit organization that provides food assistance and low-cost clothing and household items to the residents of Alameda County.” Our group, The Ace, choose Tri-City Volunteer based on the recommendation of my team member. It is located on Fremont, 18.3 mile away from my home. I had to took an Uber there because I do not have a car. I arrived early in the morning to pack all the ingredients that were given by the donors. Volunteers are people who came there regularly. Most the people there had 1.000 hours of volunteers. Moreover, there two special groups which always there to help volunteer which are the autism group and the deaf group. Even Though, they were not paid, but they still love to help other people. This is the sensation that people who volunteer looking

As a volunteer I've learned the value of service to others and to the community, and I've seen the impact it has on those involved. I’ve seen so many people, especially through church outreach, positively affected by those who use their time and talents to serve others. Although volunteering has benefited me externally in many ways, such as my Eagle Scout Project and NHS hours, I’ve also gained a greater understanding of who I am as a person. I’ve learned how important service is and how it can benefit myself and others around
The Political Stream is made up of many different aspects public mood, pressure group campaigns, election results, ideological distributions in Congress, and changes of administration. These developments impact the agendas and what issues become more or less of a priority.
It is pleasing to know that you currently have direct experience working with social change policy and that you are making a difference within your community. In most major cities, the homeless are often overlooked yet this stigmatized group is vulnerable for many reasons (e.g., health related issues, substance dependence, etc.). Nevertheless, policy allows one to take social and political action against social conditions that impact the lives of clients. Great
Over the last several years, a wide variety of health care organizations have been facing tremendous challenges. This is because they are using different models that will impact the underlying quality of care and the focus of staff members. To determine the most effective approach, there will be an emphasis on a number of areas to include: examining the community model, identifying three categories, comparing this with nursing practices, contrasting these ideas to Mihaela Colea views and discussing the importance of advocacy projects. Together, these different elements will provide specific insights that will highlight the best practices for a modern day health care environment.
My interest in community organizing and building began with the passion and knowledge for the well-being of others my father instilled in my life. My father was the late Chief Elmer Manatowa Jr of the Sac and Fox Nation, Native Tribe of Oklahoma. I have been an active Governing Council member (all adult members) of my Tribe for many years. I landed my first real job, Planning Department secretary, after taking a business course at the local technical .school. In that position, I had the opportunity to attend a Tribal Sovereignty Symposium organized by the Federal, State, and Tribal organizations. This was my first taste of community organizing and community building. It was the fourth symposium of its kind. The topics included Indian law, environmental issues, law enforcement, juvenile justice, arts, taxation, spirituality, preservation, state compacts, and Tribal immunity. There were two Senate Bills, 299 and 667. Bill 299 allowed certain protections for protecting land royalties and mineral rights. The protections included oil and mineral operator’s exclusion from drilling on individually owned Indian Country lands. Bill 667 referred to the health and human service regarding Indians.
The Department of Homeland Security released the 2014 Quadrennial Homeland Security Review on June 18, 2014 as required by the Homeland Security Act of 2002 and its amendments. This review outlined the current state of preparedness, as well as the future areas of concentration. It also determined six strategic challenges facing the nation: terrorist threat; growing cyber threats; biological concerns as a whole; nuclear terrorism; transnational criminal organizations; and natural hazards. The basic building block of emergency management in the U.S. is the local community. Each step begins here. Threat assessments are completed on the local level. Planning, mitigation, and response are all responsibilities of the local community to support the state and Federal practice using the guidance provided by both.
Everyone has a valuable contribution to make and community members can join in at any level. Volunteers and community members are integral to the decision-making, evaluation, provision, participation and direction setting at all levels of the organisation.
