Failure to observe silence during this period may be considered “class disruption” as defined under “Conduct in the Classroom”. Students that choose to discuss the quiz with other students during the quiz or choose to look at notes during a closed note quiz will receive a zero for that quiz; a second occurrence of looking at notes or talking during a quiz will result in discussions with the Assistant Dean of the School of Business.
Blackboard: This course includes a Blackboard website at http://courseware.ku.edu. You will find many documents on the site. All class notes/slides and assignments will be posted to Blackboard. Note that Blackboard from time to time will undergo maintenance by KU and not always be available. Therefore, if you choose to access Blackboard at the “last minute” you may be disappointed.
Notice Regarding Students with Disabilities: Any student in this course who has a disability that may prevent him/her from fully demonstrating his/her abilities should contact me personally within the first several weeks of school so we can discuss accommodations necessary to ensure full participation in this course and your college experience.
The School of Business Honor System and Positive Code of Conduct: The School of Business Assembly has adopted an Honor System proposed by its students and faculty to promote academic integrity and has enacted the following code: “We, the faculty,

The right of entry to education resources is more than uncomplicated admission to a college. The right to use means to provide students with the devices they will need to be victorious in higher learning. Students with a recognized disability ought to be no omission. In reality, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, “ensure that all qualified persons have equal access to education regardless of the presence of any disability.” Objective replacement, class waivers, and revision of classroom management, testing and course necessities are all illustrations of behavior to supply access for the learner with a disability. A break down to the creation of such practical adjustments can place schools in breach of federal and state statutes, ensuing expensive fines.
In conclusion, the honor code system is one that is valuable in an environment in which it can thrive, (i.e. the presence of “honest” types, corporal punishment, etc.) and would benefit the school society in general, making students more honest and less susceptible to cheating and fraudulent

The existence of honor codes has had basis in helping students learn since their inception, but there are still those who object to their very definition. Nearly every institution centered around the education of children has some sort of code of conduct or set of rules in place for the betterment of the students. However, the term ‘honor’ in the title ‘honor code’ is what people can occasionally take issue with, as the term often implies a much more respectful idea. This issue leads one to question the purpose of honor codes. Although honor codes, like that of the school in Tobias Wolff’s Old School, exist for the purpose of bettering the students by ensuring that they all have an equal chance and that they all do their own work, Mr. Ramsey objects to his school’s honor code because he believes in a much more personal and valuable meaning of the word ‘honor’.
I strongly encourage you to post course-related questions on the class discussion forum in Blackboard and to answer your colleagues’ questions.
Although Greenburg’s article and Morton’s speech have opposing points-of-view on the impact honor-codes have towards students, both authors provide insightful background and beliefs about the honor-code practices in college campuses.
The Kelley Honor Code means to me a set of guiding principles by which to prejudge my actions, and fellow academic candidates as we represent the Kelley School of Business and more broadly, the Indiana University. Accepting the code of honor is to conduct myself with a sense of rectitude and integrity. The acceptance of the Kelley Honor Code will require me to analyze my actions to ensure they are in agreement with the principles within the code.
One of the things that really stand out in my tour of Davidson is the Honor Code. I think this is a great discipline that everybody should follow, and it really can benefit the students and faculty.
Hi, my name is Donna Wang. I'm in your Psychology 2260 class on Tuesday and Friday at 7:30 a.m. to 8:55 a.m. I have disability accommodations that are listed in a letter. I'm supposed to give you the letter, but unfortunately the person who I'm supposed to see for the letter has no more room for appointments until the week of January 30th. I will get you the letter as soon as I can. Thank you.
Thinking critically and making decisions are important parts of today’s business environment. It is important to understand how the decision making process works and the steps involved. The nine steps of the decision making process are: identifying the problem, defining criteria, setting goals and objectives, evaluating the effect of the problem, identifying the causes of the problem, framing alternatives, evaluating impacts of the alternatives, making the decision, implementing the decision, and measuring the impacts. (Decision, 2007.) By using various methods and tools to assist in making important business decisions an individual can ensure the decisions they make will be as successful as possible. The MBA Program does this through a learning model in which understudies and personnel instruct and gain from each other. This procedure of dynamic cooperation and shared learning – critical in any scholastic group, and the very establishment on which the HBS MBA Program rests – relies on upon individual arrangement of all materials, little gathering dialogs to investigate and develop this underlying work, predictable participation in class and full engagement in class examinations, and post-class reflection. The Honor Code supplements the School's announcement of Community Values and mirrors the dedication understudies and personnel make as individuals from the group to take part in, foster, and maintain this learning model.
