I have had a passion for becoming a healthcare provider for children for quite a while (for a long time). Children are one of the most important individuals of society because they are the future and will one day be in charge of the world. Their health at a young age is indicative to how their health will be as adults. Childhood has a great effect on how a person turns out to be so I hope to help children I hope to use prevention and education to preserve and restore the health of my patients. My career goals are to prevent children from having to spend time in hospitals or in pain and to help them live out their life and dreams to the fullest extent. Children play a very large role in their families, and when a child becomes sick, the whole family becomes distressed. Pediatricians not only heal children, but they help and prevent a family from suffering. I love medicine and children, and I hope to combine these two passions by becoming a pediatrician.

In order to allow for the identification of a primary care pediatrician, patients identify the doctor’s lifetime value. With that, patients will place an emphasis on their relationship with the pediatrician. A strong relationship involves trust and communication, when a pediatrician and patient are able to work together, the overall quality of care can improve dramatically. To begin with, we must understand how a pediatrician can create a relationship. Patients feel the need to bring awareness to their needs and wants, including a conversation with a doctor they can empathize with. This allows the patient to realize the amount of care the pediatrician will practice. In order to sustain brand loyalty, it is necessary to acknowledge the situation
11. Pediatrician are doctors who specialized in the development, care, and illnesses of children. Working with a variety of doctors may give parents different or similar opinions, but that just mean that there are more options and strategies parents can use to try and teach their children. After all, not a single method is the number one best.
Primary care has always been my intent because of my desire for longitudinal patient care. The alignment of personal and professional preferences made pediatrics a natural choice. My hobbies of illustration and storytelling provided a mutual point from which to build a rapport with the children. Professionally, pediatricians have greater opportunities to create fun and playful educational opportunities. This positive, entertaining environment matches my disposition; to enjoy my time with patients as much as possible, within the limits of professionalism. This was demonstrated during my third year pediatrics clerkship.
Pediatrics has always intrigued me because it is a child’s first peek into the world of medicine. At least it was for me. My pediatricians were my role models: compassionate, empathetic, and caring. Even as a young girl, I knew that I wanted to work in a career where I could make children feel happy and loved. In high school, I received the opportunity to shadow various physicians, most of whom were pediatricians. I loved the way they dealt with kids of all ages and personalities. It reminded me of how I dealt with the students I taught at
Allowing enough time for each patient will boost confidence of their medical care and optimize the amount of patients the doctor sees every day. A pediatrician interacts with a lot of patients, and the amount of time he or she works with provides little breathing room. Most of the patients a pediatrician will attend are young children with their parents. Either the parents or children can prove problematic if the doctor knows little about them as a person. Although knowing the patient’s medical history certainly aids in the doctor’s diagnoses of a problem, learning about who the patient and his or her family beyond medical facts allows for greater bond between them. The patient might see the doctor as another worker looking for pay check, but
I began my pediatric practices in my very own home, with my siblings and cousins. Many would consider it as just babysitting or even helping out but it is my passion. I am very much interested in catering to children needs including their health conditions and symptoms. My pediatric imagination will bud as I will apply the specific skills, knowledge, education and experiences to earn a Doctor of Medicine Degree in pediatric.
In rural Alabama, where health care access is limited, many counties are without a practicing pediatrician. As a result, many children receive their medical care from health departments where developmental screening and continuity of care is almost non-existent. Citizens travel thirty miles to reach the nearest grocery store; thus, fresh fruits and vegetables are often substituted for processed foods. In addition, asthma education and management is infrequent, so many children are repeatedly hospitalized for asthma exacerbations that could have otherwise been prevented. For two months, I helped care for patients in rural West Alabama. There I gained great respect for the breadth of knowledge necessary to be an effective general pediatrician. Not only was I exposed to diseases and conditions specific to the pediatric population, but I also learned the importance of patient education and advocacy. It was this experience that solidified my desire to become a pediatrician dedicated to caring for
