I would be delighted to be a member of the National Honor Society for a number of reasons. One of the main reasons being that NHS gives you a better chance of being accepted into a quality college as well as making you eligible for certain scholarships. I have been taught that being a part of NHS is a privilege and special honor that can only be awarded through hard work and success. Knowing this I have worked hard to be eligible to become a member. I believe I should be a member because of my distinction in leadership, scholarship, and community service. I have not had many leadership roles because I do not seek them. That said the few roles I have had have always been particularly important. I have worked in the Registrar’s Office for Mrs.
Though my primary goal is to ameliorate my leadership skills, there are many reasons for my wanting to become a member of the National Honor Society. Not only would my membership appeal to colleges to whom I may be applying to, it would challenge me in such a way as to further develop valuable life skills, such as responsibility and character. Any collective efforts or activities made would allow me to build teamwork capabilities, hone project management aptitude, and make friends. My acceptance into the NHS would also guarantee future access to applications for the NHS Scholarship Program, which will financially aid me in entering the college of my choice.
I’m so honored, to be eligible for National Honor Society. Ever since my dad told about N.H.S. back in 8th grade, that became my goal. My dad told me that to be in it you need to be an excellent student but, also help others. In my middle school years, I participated in Boy Scouts. But, due to sports and having a job, I had leave. But, a big requirement for them was to be apart in the community. Making you have to volunteer, participate in the different things, helping others,Boy Scouts made it fun. I’ve been lucky to have been apart of it leaving me with much knowledge that I can use everyday.
Reaching my goal in becoming a member of the National Honor Society would give me a great sense of pride both academically and personally. As a person I have ambition, academic excellence, and great decision making skills to offer NHS. I have been striving to do my academic best for a chance to be in the NHS, I show this with my 3.5 GPA. The National Honor Society is based off four pillars: Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Character.
I believe I qualify for membership in the National Honor Society for the reason that I love helping out with school activities and non-school activities. I find pleasure in helping out in my community and being an exceptional example for kids that may look up to me or are younger than me.
Thank you for this National Honor Society opportunity. I feel extremely privileged. And, I think my qualifications include strong work ethic, drive, a high standard of academic integrity, and a calling to service and leadership in my community.
I should be a member of National Honor Society because I am an exemplary student who cherishes the qualities of respect, honesty, responsibility, trust, and fairness. NHS would be an opportunity for me to not only expand my horizons, but to also
I have many great qualities: Some of these qualities are leadership, service, scholarship, and character. As a member of FCCLA I have been able to expand these skills and characteristics to be able to help the community. Having these qualities has allowed me to help give a hand when I am able to and when it is needed. Although I already have these four characteristics, being a member of the National Honor Society would allow me to expand these qualities. Becoming a member would allow me to be more prepared for college and my future.
The National Honor Society recognizes students who attain a high level of accomplishment in the areas of academics, character, leadership, and service. In order to be considered for membership in the National Honor Society one must not only demonstrate each of these four qualities, but excel in each.
It is a great honor to be among the commendable students who are being considered for the National Honor Society. The National Honor Society is discernible for showing an interest in students with exemplary grades, great character, leadership, and service. Last year I was enrolled in a tenth grade honors language class, this year I am taking an advanced placement college course. I am enlisted in all honors classes and I strive to do the best that I can not only academically, but in all activities I participate in. I am a strenuous worker and have great character. Everything I try, I give all my effort, for example, in track I show good sportsmanship and cheer on my fellow athletes at every meet. I also show great leadership qualities.
Academics is a serious aspect of my life, and being a member of National Honor Society has certainly encouraged my dedication to my studies. I work diligently to keep my GPA up so I can stay in NHS and graduate with honors. Even with the advanced placement classes I am taking, I know that the extra work will help my future. Being a member has made me think more about my character and how I can improve it. I am more conscientious about my actions, and work hard to complete all of my responsibilities when needed.
The National Honor Society is not only a privilege to be a part of, but is an outstanding achievement for the person. To be a member of the National Honor Society, I believe I must have characteristics such as: being a role model and having leadership, superb academic standings, and an overall character that will encourage others. I want to be a member of the National Honor Society because I feel like I qualify for the characteristics I have listed above. As for being a role model and having leadership, I have never been in any kind of trouble, and I am always open to help anyone who needs it, including schoolwork or personal matters. My grades are also up to par with academic standards. I have been on the Honor Roll for as long as I can remember,
The reason that I want to be part of the National Honor Society is that I am in love with the idea of a group of young individuals whose sole purpose is the betterment of their community. Additionally, with all the hate going on in the world right now I make it a point to be part of any organization that offers me the chance to help the people around me, and that's exactly what honor society gives me the opportunity to do. From Beta club to any church program I strive to be in anything that allows me to serve others. Therefore with the morals and ideologies NHS holds it is exactly what I am looking for, and I would be honored to gain membership into it.
The leadership role that I have found the most important is the one involving my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am currently the Young Women’s Laurel President and have been for over a year now. This means that I mainly set an example for the other younger girls in my ward by participating in class, leading opening exercises, and keep the standards set by the church. I also volunteer a great deal of my time to plan and set up activities that happen every Wednesday night. When I was first asked to become the President, I was shocked as I felt I was not the finest person for the job, but being a leader has allowed me to grow in ways I could never have imagined. I have been forced to gain knowledge of the girls in my
The leadership experience that I have is being a co-director of the Winterboro Varsity Basketball program and the basketball statistician. At Winterboro High school, which I attend we have a ton of projects. I always get chosen for the group leader by my peers. Everyone knows that I am going to make sure that everything gets done on time. Not only that, but they also realize that I am not the person to play around. I care about my grades, achieving goals, and succeeding in life. Tutoring is also a leadership role for me because I step up to the plate to help kids and I'm the only one that tutor at this moment. To make sure that they get an understanding of their work. It is a pleasure to see kids progress and to know that they look up to me.
I’ve played a couple different roles in leadership. I took ASB for two and a half years. My freshman year of high school, I was the Assistant Director of Blood Drives. When sophomore year came around, I became the Director of Blood Drives and was appointed an assistant. On top of my role as a director,
