The Mercury Milan is a midsize sedan with available all-wheel drive. Released in 2006, this model was produced through 2011 and then canceled as the Ford Motor Company discontinued the Mercury brand. Mercury Milan: 2006 to 2011 Introduced in 2006, the Mercury Milan was based on the Ford Fusion and replaced the Mercury Sable. Upon its debut, the Mercury Milan offered two engine choices. A 2.3-liter, four-cylinder engine making 160 horsepower was standard and came paired with a five-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission. Also available was a 3.0-liter V6 engine making 221 horsepower and mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The first-year model was front-wheel drive only and offered in Base and Premier trims. Standard equipment included 16-inch wheels, keyless entry, a six-speaker audio system with a CD player, power accessories, and a six-way power-operated driver’s seat. For 2009, the Sport coupe and Sport sedan models were eliminated, along with the 2.4-liter engine powering them. An upgraded 2.2-liter engine was introduced. Bluetooth connectivity was added as well. Other changes included making OnStar telematics standard across the model line, an iPod-compatible USB port was added to the radio, and new low-rolling resistance tires were introduced.
Other goodies that come with it include: smart phones to be plugged in for hands free use, navigation, EZ Lift and Lower tailgate, OnStar Guidance (that comes with OnStar's usual features, and the first six months are free) and thirteen tie-downs in the bed. Other features include, LED head and tail lights, the ability to keep track of things such as the average fuel economy on your present trip and how long the current trip has been (mileage wise), three inch side steps, and blacked out Chevy logos.
Ford then created a new fifth generation model for the mustang in 2005, which was based off of the 1960s hatchbacks. The Mustang was codenamed the S-197. The coupe of the S-197 was fitted with a 4 litre V6 with the option of 5-speed manual or automatic. The GT was a 4.6 V8, with the same options. Engines were revised in 2011, which included 6-speed transmissions instead of 5. Ford then brought back the Boss 302 model.
One interesting fact about 60’s Corvette is in the 60’s it could hit up to 350 HP, which is a lot for the cars back then.
