The Mercury Milan is a midsize sedan with available all-wheel drive. Released in 2006, this model was produced through 2011 and then canceled as the Ford Motor Company discontinued the Mercury brand. Mercury Milan: 2006 to 2011 Introduced in 2006, the Mercury Milan was based on the Ford Fusion and replaced the Mercury Sable. Upon its debut, the Mercury Milan offered two engine choices. A 2.3-liter, four-cylinder engine making 160 horsepower was standard and came paired with a five-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission. Also available was a 3.0-liter V6 engine making 221 horsepower and mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The first-year model was front-wheel drive only and offered in Base and Premier trims. Standard equipment included 16-inch wheels, keyless entry, a six-speaker audio system with a CD player, power accessories, and a six-way power-operated driver’s seat. Premier models were dressed in 17-inch aluminum wheels, supplied leather seating, and included a CD changer. Standard equipment was improved as well, bringing in antilock brakes, side airbags, an auxiliary input jack, and a fold-down passenger seat. Newly available options included a DVD-based navigation system and Sirius satellite radio. The 2008 Mercury Milan gained a keyless entry keypad as standard equipment. Optional equipment included a reverse parking sensor, a Mercury SYNC multimedia system, and ambient lighting. The latter two features appeared later in the model year.
