It was a cold February evening. The snow fell from the sky and onto Deer Trail. The sun was just setting as the car was pulling into the drive way of my house. “Thanks for driving me!” I said to my friend and her mom as I stepped out of the car. “No problem!” they replied as I shut the door of the red car. I walked up to the front door with my soccer bag over my shoulder. I walked into my house kicking my cleats off and throwing my bag onto the floor. I saw my mom sitting on the couch of the living room with her iPad on her lap. “What are you doing?” I questioned. “I'm looking for dogs to adopt.” My mom said. My eyes lit up! I already had a dog, Lucy, but she would never play with us. She would just lie around all day. It felt like a year had gone by for this moment to happen. My family and my current dog Lucy rushed into the car and drove to West Bloomfield, Michigan. While I was in the car, I played on my phone and stared out the window of the car at the landscape. After the hour drive, we finally arrived at the house that Freddy was at. My family and I walked into the house. There were many rooms in the house that had white crates, cages, and tanks that had many different animals like fish, cats, birds, and even mice! The owner of the house guided us to the down stairs where the dogs stayed. There was a big room that the dogs could play in and a smaller room that had cages where the dogs stayed. The owner, Nancy, got Freddy out of the room and brought him into the larger room. He was very playful and would run around the room a lot. I remember when I would bounce tennis balls on the wall and they would go flying in different directions. Freddy would chase after the balls and bring them back to me. Whenever Freddy went around Lucy, they would mess around and Freddy would try to bite Lucy’s ears and annoy
