I plan to contribute and positively impact the experiences of the students, the staff, and the program as a whole by applying myself in a variety of roles to exemplify a model student throughout my participation in the Honors Program.
Foremost, I will devote myself to academics in the plethora of challenging and intriguing courses the Honors Program offers. Through only accepting success, I will be able to surpass my teachers’ expectations in the classroom. Not only do I have a passion for learning new and challenging material, but also, I enjoy teaching others as well. I have experience in teaching and mentoring others along with my local school district. I enjoy community involvement and believe that everybody should lend a hand in their community. I have many volunteer experiences within my community, both through clubs and on my own accord. I plan to become a role model for my peers in community involvement, encouraging others to join in, by actively participating in volunteer work. Furthermore, I expect to enrich the Honors Program own community involvement by researching and discussing new opportunities for students to reach out to their community. As a result, I will encourage others to help out in making our community a better place, and subsequently gain a broader perspective through our involvement. With a deep passion in education in both learning and teaching others, I will plan to enrich the classroom experience. Furthermore, I contribute an active voice to the Honors Program that will allow me to lead class discussions, and be able to present to anybody on campus. Lastly, by taking the lead and becoming a role model for volunteering in our community, I will inspire my peers to lend a hand, enriching both the Honors Program and our community. Therefore, I expect to be a powerful positive force on campus through exemplifying a model student in the Honors
