Ellen Degeneres It was aired on TV everyday, for about 6 hours. The student came home from school after a long horrific day of being bullied. She sat on the couch and turned on the television and there she was: The show where people would just have fun but also help the world with Ellen DeGeneres.
Ever since Ellen started to air, she has been watching it everyday to help her laugh and get into a better mood. That is until her parents did not bother to pay the cable bill. She had watched this show everyday to help build up her confidence to fight against this bully and try to help others in the future. She told her friends about amazing Ellen DeGeneres but now that she couldn’t watch it she couldn’t help her friends.

So she decided to start the fundraiser she’s always wanted and started to help others. Madeline even started fundraising money and giving it to people in need. This show caused others to get the idea to help others in need and to stop putting down others too. This is why Ellen Degeneres is known as the Person of the Year because she is so inspiring to so many people.
People could argue that Ellen Degeneres's show is not very inspiring. According to the Ellen DeGeneres page on Biography.com, Ellen was born January 36, 1958. And Society that existed in 1900's would not have given Ellen chance to show that we all can be great no matter what culture we belong to.
