An important component of evidence-based nursing, is the professional nurse’s ability to create a search strategy that will assist professionals in finding relevant research articles that address an important clinical problem in need of a timely solution. In summary, the search strategy and the different approaches with the ability to save the various search formulations was effective and efficient.
Systematizing the Research Approach and Design
Research reviewers can vary in their approach and design to systematizing their review. For example, reviewers can decide to include studies with only certain design characteristics or those using a full range of designs (Brown, 2014). Furthermore, the qualitative, quantitative, and mixed method approaches can be distinguished by a systematic analysis of the research method (Boswell & Cannon, 2017).
