Riordan Manufacturing is in need of a new network, this plan will develop a network that will benefit the business, the employees and the customers in a manner that will provide all of them with a smooth operating experience as well as to future proof the entire network. The Network will handle all incoming and outgoing traffic for both the employees on the intranet, as well as the customers on the external internet web site. Quality of Service (QoS) will be implemented to assist in data tracking for use of the bandwidth to determine and plan how much bandwidth is needed and to determine where congestion

During this paper several things will be explained or gone over. The first will be communication protocols and I will identify the network protocols and provide rationale for the decision. Next will be to define the full network architecture and explain the usefulness of the traffic analysis. The next thing will be to define the terms response time, latency, and jitter, and describe their effect on the main network performance and on the performance of the chosen organization 's network. Next the effect of data rates on each part of the network will also be explained. Describing strategies to ensure the availability of network access in switched and routed networks will be the last part of this paper.
Demian Linder went to college at SUNY Brockport to become a orthopedic surgeon. Towards his senior year, he decided he didn’t want to go to school for that long and used his minor in math to do something new. He ended up going to RIT after his time at Brockport. After college, he worked at Kodak for fourteen years before getting another job at Odyssey software in 2008. In 2014, he became a senior software engineer at Kodak Alaris. As a senior software engineer, he works on many software systems and with many languages. As for technologies employed, there are many as well. He works with Microsoft Stack, Azure, IIS, C++ or C# (C# being the language of choice), Oracle SQL, database backends, web services, web api, and wcs services. For testing, he uses code clearcase dealing with saving and version control for software. He uses oracle 11i as well as javascript and Microsoft in the cloud. Riordan Manufacturing’s main focus is to find solutions for their customer’s challenges and not be the challenge. In order to do this and maintain these long-standing relationships there will need to be changes to the company’s management and communication plans. These changes will provide more employee satisfaction and efficiency throughout the company.
