Danny Zuko mainly cared about what people thought about him and his reputation. Though his style is like he’s cruising for a bruisin. What i like about Betty Rizzo is that she doesn’t care of what people think about her, but what I don’t like is that she acts like a spoiled little girl who always wants it her way. I like that Kenickie is a greaser type a guy and what I don’t like is that he sometimes tries to act like Danny. What I like about Frenchy is that she is full of joy, but it’s when she really acts like an airhead that I don’t like. What I like about Leo Balmudo is that he has a nice car, but that he is against the T-Birds. What I mainly like about the story line is that Danny and Sandy fall in love and they try to change themselves to fit into each other’s lifestyles. Plus how the music fit in well with it too. What I don’t like about the story line is that it’s cliche and predictable. The time zone it was based off of is that it was in the 50’s and I like that it was based off the 50’s because it gives out that it could be a classic. For example the old church that Johnny and Pony are hiding out in burns down and they go back inside and save some kids that are trapped and probably going to die. THE OUTSIDERS by S.E. Hinton The “Outsiders” is a fictional novel. This story is set in 1966 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The city is dirty, noisy, crowded, and full of danger. The ritzy art museums, concert halls, and theaters traditionally off-limits and the only sources of culture available to the poor boys or "greasers," are the rodeo and the movies and looking out for each other. Many of the greasers dream of the freedom of the country, where people are not labeled and discriminated against because of their appearance.

Overall, I enjoyed the film. My biggest issue was the formatting of the film and the medium that it was available. It would have been more enjoyable had the film not been broken up into segments that needed to load. Had the movie been available on DVD or in one longer segment, it would have been easier to watch. The film director Randal Kleiser cast a previous academy award nominee, John Travolta and rising Australian star Olivia Newton-John and it now is the epitome of their careers. The musical is a romantic comedy that takes place in the late fifties with a summer fling between greaser Danny Zuko and good girl Sandy. They parted with the conclusion of summer, but when school resumes, they find themselves attending the same high school. It follows Danny and Sandy as well as the perspective friend groups the t-birds and pink ladies. Grease is a musical that is both iconic and forever relatable with it’s lively music, dancing, humor and simple story lines.

You can tell Kenny Ortega was trying to liven it up and bring it into the 21st century, but once again it had the cheesy flash of a Disney production. Ortega was focused on capturing the weirdness of the original movie but either forgot, or unsuccessfully acknowledged the campiness that was such a huge part of the originals success. Tensions rise when Johnny’s rival gang appears and surprises everyone. Before the fight begins, a mysterious rider shows up, beats the mob, and leaves without revealing his identity.

Genre is a French word meaning ‘type or ‘kind’ (Genre, 2016). The film industry has been around for at least 100 years. The evolution of entertainment is growing rapidly through the use of media. And as these years go on, films have begun to fit into specific genres, and are important to appeal to the different types of audiences. Films can be described to genre in different types of ways, such as stars, director and narrative to help identify what genre the film is (Neale, 1990, pg. 49). Genre in films has become common because it helps give the audience a different expectation. One specific genre of film is a horror. Horror is a genre that tries to create, panic, dread and fear for the audience.
