1.4 Explain how other factors can cause changes in an individual’s condition that may not be attributable to dementia. Other factors can cause changes to the individual’s health (condition). Conditions affecting the memory other than dementia are brain injury, brain tumours, Parkinson’s disease, stress, stroke. Below I have made a list of things that could change the individuals condition. • When you change the individual’s medication- When the individual takes no medication, their illness could get worse, they could end up hallucinating and act confused. Some medication can have side effects like headaches, stomach ache, itchiness, bleeding, swelling, joint or muscle pains and, indigestion diarrhoea. • If you change their diet - Eating issues
